I recently stayed at Stanshope Hall for the third time and it was wonderful. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even going so far as to make a phone call to delay our dinner reservation. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and in a perfect location for walking. The breakfast was delicious and served by a delightful lady. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

    I do recommend this hotel.

Delightful and comfortable rooms with all the amenities needed for a cozy stay. The rural location ensured peace and tranquility with no disturbances. The stunning murals added a unique touch to the ambiance. Enjoying a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire was a true highlight. The warm welcome and helpful advice from the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. The delicious breakfast prepared by the lovely host was a perfect start to the day.

the communication regarding check-in time was not properly conveyed, leading to confusion upon arrival.

We had a great time staying at this country house. the location was stunning, with beautiful grounds and views of the countryside. the staff were friendly and welcoming, offering us tea and coffee on arrival. the rooms were spacious and the showers were excellent. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the bar menu in the evening. the facilities and service were fantastic.

We did encounter a slight issue with the payment process. This created a bit of an uncomfortable situation, leaving us with a slightly unpleasant feeling.

the breakfasts are tasty and replenishing, offering homemade granola and delightful Derbyshire potato cakes. the location is perfect for those who love long walks, with stunning views of the Peak District. the rooms are cosy and well-maintained, and guests have access to a fridge for keeping their packed lunch fresh.

The twin bed rooms may be a bit short on space for bags and wardrobe storage.

The spacious and comfortable bedrooms were a delight, with lovely garden views. The bathroom and shower worked well. The friendly staff, including the owner, made us feel warmly welcomed. The breakfast was fabulous, with a wide variety of delicious options. We also enjoyed the afternoon tea and flapjacks served upon our arrival, which was a nice touch. The location in a quiet and peaceful area was exactly what we were looking for during our romantic escape.

There was a shortage of dining options in the surrounding area, which was to be expected in such a serene location. Additionally, the hotel could benefit from offering more modern amenities and facilities to enhance the overall guest experience.

I recently stayed at a charming rural guest house and had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Lynn, the friendly and welcoming host, who showed me to my cozy room. As I settled in, Lynn surprised me with a pot of delicious tea and homemade flapjack, which I enjoyed in front of a cozy open fire in the communal sitting room. The room itself was comfortable and well-equipped, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The next morning, I was treated to a fantastic breakfast spread, with a choice of tea, coffee, various cereals, and even homemade granola. The cooked breakfast options were superb, and I appreciated the availability of a veggie sausage option. The tranquil surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for exploring the local countryside, with plenty of walking opportunities nearby. I had a fantastic time at this friendly and cost rural stay, and I would highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.
